31/1 - Some People Never Learn

So, here we are, just over 24 hours away from our departure flight. Are we kicking back and enjoying the Australian summer (going full force here in Canberra...though we can't rival Melbourne and Adelaide for the extreme temperatures)? No! Just as on our previous trip we're running around like the proverbial headless choocks - off to the shops for last minute items, packing and what-to/what-not-to take decisions, etc. etc. Ahhh, the wonders of holiday/trip preparation. Here's hoping that, just as previously, all worries evaporate once we board the first flight - nothing more can be done. Certainly one worry is sorted with mum (Spike's mum Helen) arriving this morning and once again establishing the wonderful relationship she has with the kids. She'll be looking after Grant and Zoe while we're travelling.

I guess its worth giving a sense of our itinerary, to provide context for what follows:
* Leave Canberra Sunday 1 Feb (around 3pm)
* Arrive Delhi Monday 2 Feb (6am)
* 4 days in Delhi (with a day trip to Agra)
* Train to Jaipur on Friday 6 Feb
* 3 days in Jaipur
* Fly to Bangalore on Monday 9 Feb (10am)
* 8 days in Bangalore, with Spike at Aero India (11th-15th)
* Fly Bangalore to Singapore on Mon 16 Feb (11pm)
* Arrive Singapore Tue 17 Feb (6am)
* Spend a day in Singapore (hope to see Simon)
* Fly out that evening (9pm)
* Arrive back in Australia morning of 18th, and back in Canberra by lunchtime.

In other words 8 days in the Delhi-Agra-Jaipur "Golden Triangle" area, then down south to Bangalore for work.
